01 / About Me

A lifetime of
building things.

From street rods to real estate platforms, I've always been drawn to how things work—and how to make them better.

As a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Operations at NextHome, Inc., I lead our operations and build the technology that gives our network an edge.

In 2026, one of my biggest priorities has been bringing the NextHome Hub together with a full intranet redesign. I'm working to give our members a more deliberate place to connect, find resources, and use our technology, while gradually moving our community beyond its reliance on Facebook groups. Members have built meaningful relationships there, and I want the transition to respect those connections. Introducing a platform also means helping people change their habits, so I put as much thought into adoption and what happens after launch as I do into the technology itself.

I bring that same approach to every tool we consider, including AI. We've reduced the time for some tasks in application development, DevOps, InfoSec, and Contract Administration from an hour to less than two minutes. But speed alone doesn't make a tool valuable, and even a reasonably priced product can be costly if it adds another disconnected process. I ask whether it reduces repetitive work, helps an agent follow through, gives a broker better visibility, or improves a client's experience. My job is to bring the people, products, and processes together so we can put useful tools in front of our members with confidence.

I've been shaping real estate franchises since 2008, when I began working with CEO James Dwiggins at Realty World Northern California & Nevada. As Chief Technology Officer, I built and led a team of engineers, designers, and IT specialists, driving our strategy and infrastructure. I became COO in 2011 and took responsibility for all operational aspects of the business. In 2014, James and I co-founded NextHome, Inc., secured funding, and acquired the Master License Agreement to Realty World Northern California & Nevada.

Before that, James and I co-founded VREO, Inc., where I served as CTO and later CEO. I designed platforms including DeepGreen Financial's automated client and loan processing system, which handled over $800 million in volume. I also launched the original Realty World enterprise platform, which won the 2004 Inman Innovator Award. Along the way, I've been recognized on the RISMedia Newsmakers and Swanepoel Power 200 lists.

Beyond NextHome, I serve on the Board of Directors of the NextHome Disaster Relief Foundation, where I am Treasurer, CFO, and Secretary. The Foundation is a California public benefit nonprofit organization created to assist our NextHome network, providing financial assistance to NextHomies who are victims of natural or man-made disasters. Our goal is to build a safety net for future disaster survivors.

I'm a San Francisco Bay Area native. I studied mechanical engineering before switching to business at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. I grew up building street rod cars with my father, and I have a passion for motorcycles. I share both interests with my son, Drew, and bring that same focus and precision to my work at NextHome.
